A glimpse into a real study

A glimpse into a real study

You might be wondering: what actually happens when I participate in a study? In a previous study, Happy Labs worked with War Child to improve their website. Below, you can see how the process worked, so you know what to expect when you take part.

Why conduct research?

War Child wanted to improve their website. But before implementing any changes, they first wanted to know how visitors actually use the site. Do people understand the language? Can they easily find their way around? And does everything work the way they expect?

What did the study look like?

We spoke with 6 participants. During an hour-long session, they talked with a researcher while exploring the War Child website. They shared their thoughts out loud, pointing out what was clear and where they had to search or felt hesitant. This quickly revealed what worked well and what could be improved.

What happened after the study?

After the study, War Child compiled all the feedback and key observations. This made it clear what worked well and where there was room for improvement. Based on these insights, they were able to improve the website step-by-step, making it easier for visitors to find what they’re looking for and navigate the site with ease.
